Pediatric Dental Care
Dental care begins at an early age, usually around the age of 3. Parents should use a piece of disposable gauze or a washcloth to clean a baby’s gums to remove any food residue. Once teeth appear, use a soft brush and work gently to clean your baby’s teeth. Do not put your baby to bed with a bottle as the liquid will stay on the teeth and cause tooth decay. Feed your baby or child a balanced diet and limit between meal snacks. Encourage your child to drink water instead of sodas or fruit juices. Have your child brush with a child-sized toothbrush at least twice a day for 2 minutes. Replace the toothbrush when the bristles show signs of wear.

Adolescent Dental Care
Teenage years often present temptation to drink excessive sugared beverages and eat a lot of high sugared foods. This will create problems such as c avities, tooth decay and discoloration. We highly recommend sugarless gum and candy. Braces are often needed during this adolescent stage as crooked and crowded teeth are not just a cosmetic problem; bacteria can build up between the teeth and it can be very difficult to floss and brush correctly. Straight teeth can give your teen a beautiful smile and greatly improve self-confidence.
