Roos Dental Care Updated COVID-19 Policies and Actions

Hello Valued Patients,

Amidst all of the challenges faced with the COVID-19 global pandemic, we want to share some positive news with you. The state of Colorado has lifted the statewide ban and our practice will be accepting all appointments.  Our primary focus will be to ensure you and your families are as safe as possible during this return to the new normal.  Our office has always placed a priority on your safety and well being; we are confident that we can provide excellent and safe dental care.

To do this, we have upgraded and implemented the following actions:

1.)  Continued adherence to Universal Precautions with all protocols and cleaning practices. Medical and dental offices have always practiced these guidelines and we will continue to adhere to all national, state and local regulations as they are updated.
2.) Pre- appointment screening calls to ensure that all patients are well and can be seen in the office. Screening for symptoms will continue to be our best method to avoid putting others at risk.
3.) In office screening protocols; we will provide you with a mask (we encourage you to bring your own), take your temperature and complete an in office COVID-19 screening and consent form.  If any patient’s temperature is over 100.4 °F we will kindly ask you to reschedule your appointment.
4.). We have a fully socially distanced waiting room and we will make all attempts to seat you in a private treatment room as soon as we complete the check in screening process.
5.)   Hand sanitizer is provided upon walking into our office and you will have the ability to wash your hands before and after treatment.
6.)    Any common areas and administrative areas are being cleaned regularly to avoid any cross contamination multiple times during the workday.
7.) Staff will be recording staff temperatures at multiple points during the day and will be screened daily for symptoms. To date, no member of our team has knowingly been in contact with a COVID positive patient.
8.)    During treatment, all clinical staff will be wearing: N95 or Level III equivalent masks/ eye protection/ face shields/ gowns or lab coats and hair covering.  This PPE is equivalent to the highest standards that our frontline healthcare workers have been utilizing to combat this disease.
9.)   Air purification system upgrade to IQAir HealthPro outside of operatories where dental treatment is being performed.
10.)  Virtual Consultations- if you feel unsure about coming into our office please visit our website at www.roosdentalcare.com and schedule a virtual appointment with Dr. Roos.  Dental insurance companies have expanded benefits for their members and Teledentistry is a new covered benefit.

Finally, as a reminder our new Solea Laser is an option for dental cavities treatment which provides these additional safety benefits: (http://ilovesolea.com/)
